Special Saturday Strip! And bonus-sized!

@Francisco - This is tempting fate in the worst way.

@godmoderncommander - And it is especially brutal to the Narva. :)

@Ultimate the Hedgehog - It does. :)

@Francisco - I don't know the first thing about those tropes pages... Anyone here know how to do that? Oh, and if you do, please link it to the comic's official page at http://trippcomic.com.

@qazox - Those are certainly in order of importance.

@Greg Bulmash - Are you suggesting the last panel is a metaphor for something? :)

@Francisco - No worries, any effort at all is much appreciated. Thanks!

@Francisco - Thank you! As long as the http://trippcomic.com address is listed as the main one, that's fine. The Smackjeeves address can be listed as the alternative.

@nobi wan kenobi - Believe me, I've already tried this.

TV Tropes

It reminds me of the "Tempting Fate" page on TV Tropes.

@Ultimate the Hedgehog

But the tropes the Tripp page links to don't link back to Tripp (and the Tripp page needs to be attached to an index).

Three things you never EVER say:

#1- Honey, your ass looks fat in that skirt/jeans/pants/bathing suit.

#2- Fire/Bomb in a theater/plane.

#3- "it couldn't get any worse..."

I was thinking "fracking awesome last panel."

And then I realized that for all the lightning and mist effects, it's basically a long tubular shape, going into an interdimensional tunnel...

TV Tropes

It means editing each and every page it links to to put the reverse link back in (and the Tripp page links to a *lot* of Tropes). It also means finding an index to edit.

You don't need much in the way of technical skill (as the the code is quite simple -- just click "source" at the top of the page to see what the code looks like). It's just time consuming because there are about 30 pages to edit.

This would be a lot simpler to do if you edit the pages you link to as you go along. I'll do some edits and see how far I get. I can't promise to get everything.

Ps.
I wrote the Chatoyant College Tropes page (at least the version that's up at the time that I wrote this post).

Questions arising/Progress from editing

Questions arising:

1. Do you have/want an alternative website listed? {edit} Response to question actioned.

Progress:

1. Tripp's page now refers to correct website.

2. Alternative link removed.

3. Tripp added to index Sci-Fi Webcomics. Can add to other genres if appropriate.

4. Added Mazons to Action Girl (on Tripp's page).

5. Added Tripp to Action Girl (webcomics page).

Co-ordinating TV Tropes editing

I've got to shoot off and I doubt I'll find time today to do any more editing. However, I'll leave you with a few words of advice.

For some reason:

''Webcomic/Tripp'' and ''Tripp'' won't work to create a link to the Tripp page. It does work if you use ''Webcomic/{{Tripp}}''.

I would advise everyone to post what they are doing/done here so that we don't step on each others toes (or some other way of co-ordinating what we're doing).

Another thing that I discovered when writing the CC pages is that you may not need to link back from all the pages you link to. I, personally, would only link to a work from a tropes page if:

1) The trope is a major part of that work, and/or
2) The work has (a) particularly good example(s) of that trope.

It's up to you if you want to follow those guidelines but it may cut down the workload of linking back to Tripp.

Most works are added to more than 1 index. If you know your way around the TV Tropes site, you may be able to think of other indexes that are appropriate to list Tripp on.

Hey, it's TV Tropes. You'll NEVER get everything...
