A stranger in a strange land! Poor Proxy! I have a feeling she'll be fine.
And Biff's comb-over was AWFUL.
@Ultimate the Hedgehog - I bet he'd still do that even if people could hear him.
@interspark - I guess that's why we don't see a lot of Adolfs running around these days.
@Chaos Master - Poe's a huge movie fan.
@Bluejay - You should be able to see the fruits of your labor, though.
@filiasan - I like the positive spin!
@The_Hankerchief - Soft serve really does make everything better!
@Francisco - And what about when the mission is over? (if she succeeds...) Is your story posted somewhere?
If she can't go back, you're probably right about that.
Thanks, Francisco, I'll try to check it out.
i can see why poe speaks without thinking... no one can here him so it doesnt matter.
really, who names a kid "biff" and assumes that they WON'T grow up to be a school bully? it's like naming a kid "thumper" and hoping they don't become a hired goon
Poe has great taste in movies.
It's good to see that Poe's priorities haven't changed.
At least she can have icecream, now.
Don't worry, Proxy, soft serve always makes it better.
I can't help but feel that Proxima fell in love with Tripp (or at least the idea of Tripp).
You need a strong reason to cut yourself off from your home. Yes, I'm sure that protecting her planet and turning back the damage was a major consideration. However, even allowing for proper research, her reactions to date don't seem appropriate for someone motivated by completing a mission. She's too informal and chatty.
The question is: Are her feelings going to get in the way of her mission?
I know it's not much but I wish I could find a way for you to read the time travel story I'm writing.
I suspect Proxima's mission would last her entire life. Her primary mission would last as long as Tripp's alive. Her secondary mission, protecting everyone else (especially Coco), will last as long as Narva is interested in Earth.
It's posted on-line in the forums (still active) of a webcomic that ended.
If you're intersted the story is called Off Course and it can be found in the Writing section of the forums for The Phoenix Requiem.
